-

A football freestyler has climbed all the way to Mount Everest’s base camp — while doing keepy uppies. John Farnworth took on the challenge following the death of his grandad, who suffered from vascular dementia, according to the Mirror.

Raising money for dementia and Alzheimer’s, Farnworth juggled a ball up the mountain for a staggering 10 days before returning.

Speaking about his journey on the BBC, Farnworth said: “I feel good. I had a little bit of sickness on the way back, but doing the challenge was fine, I think I just had my mind so set on it.”

Farnworth has so far raised just shy of £ 5,500 ( at the time of reporting), which will go to the

Alzheimer’s Society.
