HP OMEN X VR MAKES DEBUT

HP’s OMEN range of gaming PCs has been available in India for a considerable amount of time. For 2018, the company has revamped its lineup by introducing three new models from its OMEN X series — the OMEN X Compact Desktop with VR Backpack, OMEN X desktop and OMEN X notebook. The Compact Desktop starts at ` 2,94,988 whereas the standard desktop starts at ` 4,49,999. The OMEN X notebook starts at ` 2,10,990. The OMEN X Compact Desktop is meant to be a hardcore gaming and VR. It comes with its own dock when it’s required to be used as a desktop PC and a separate VR Backpack when VR gaming is required. The idea is to provide desktop- levels of computing power for mobile VR gaming. The backpack consists of four hot- swappable batteries. It can be spicedup to an unlocked Intel Core i7 processor along with a factory- overclocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU.

The OMEN X notebook is a hardcore gaming laptop with fullblown specifications such as a 17- inch FHD display with refresh rates up to 144Hz, Core i7 CPU, XMP memory options for memory overclocking up to DDR4- 2800, and factory over clocked NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 for 4K gaming. It also comes with RAID0 SSD option for ultrafast boot times.

Lastly, the OMEN X desktop is powered by a deca- core Intel Core i9 processor along with dual NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPUs. gamers to customise their PCs or build it as a DIY project.
