- AGE CORRESPONDENT

Mayor North Delhi, Preety Agarwal on Tuesday demanded from Delhi Government its due funds which can help to come over the crises due to agitation for demands of sanitation staff and DBCs. Ms Agarwal said that if Delhi government released due funds, the corporation can meet the demand of regularization of sanitation staff and Domestic Breeding Checkers ( DBCs).

According to the mayor, on Tuesday the sanitation union gherao the Civic Centre building and did not allow entry or exit for hours. Number of Councillors including senior functionaries of the Corporation could not reach the venue due to this and meeting of the House had to be started late.

“We are with the staff and their demands need serious consideration but we are already fighting with requirements of funds due to politics by Delhi government. If they had released our due funds such situation could not have arise. Hence, it is best in the situation that they release our due funds to enable us to extend relief to agitating staff,” said Ms Agarwal.

Mayor claimed that Aam Adami Party only creates illusion but don’t clearly takes any decisions. “Every decision has if and buts resulting in confusion among citizens. They are neither for masses not they want other to be. That is why they are not letting the corporation functions smoothly. We had to face strike time and again just because of Delhi government of they had released our due funds,” Ms Agarwal said. of
