MP: Kadaknath gets 17 orders on day one

Kadaknath, the famed black chicken of Jhabua of Madhya Pradesh, is proving too hot to handle, at least for the societies dealing with marketing of the fowl. For, the mobile app launched by the state animal husbandry department on Thursday to market the chicken reared by tribals of Jhabua, has received 17 orders within 24 hours. “App has received 17 orders, one from Delhi and three each from Indore and Balaghat in Madhya Pradesh by Friday evening. We are apprehensive that the societies dealing with marketing of the fowl may not meet the growing demand for the bird in coming days”, said a senior officer of state animal husbandry.
