EXECUTE SC ORDER

The Supreme Court of India holds that any interference by khap panchayats to scuttle marriage between two consenting adults is absolutely illegal. This judgment must be executed to tackle honour killings, which is a threat to our national unity. In the lecture, “Nationalism in India”, Tagore explained why our nationalism was wanting, and said, “Have we an instance in the whole world where a people who are not allowed to mingle their blood shed their blood for one another except by coercion or for mercenary purposes?”
