Tomar ton leads DASCB into last 8
Opener Gaurav Tomar ( 127, 91b, 5x6, 12x4) guided Defence Accounts Sports Control Board to a six- wicket victory over Haryana Cricket Academy to help them enter the quarter- finals of the 28th allIndia Volga Om Nath Sood Memorial cricket tournament at the St. Stephen’s College cricket grounds in New Delhi on Wednesday.
Put in to bat, Haryana Cricket Academy managed 254/ 8 in 40 overs, led by top- scorer Akhil Kuhar ( 86). HCA openers Mohit Hooda ( 31) and Aman Khatri ( 47) began smoothly, putting on 60 runs in 7.3 overs.
But then they lost wickets regularly to be reduced to 170/ 5 in 32.2 overs. Kuhar then played a valuable knock 70- ball knock with four sixes and seven fours to push his team towards a respectable total.
Aman Khatri ( 47) and Mohit Hooda ( 31) made useful contributions towards the end for Ace Academy while Charanjeet Singh ( 3/ 58) and Arish Alam
Put in to bat, Haryana Cricket Academy managed 254/ 8 in 40 overs. Gaurav Tomar then led DASCB to victory in 34.4 overs.

Man of the match Tomar laid the platform for victory with a 109- run second wicket stand with Arish Alam ( 43) and took DASCB home with a 119- run partnership with Shalabh Shrivastav ( 61 not out) for the fourth wicket.
