ASUS’ new Core i9 ultrabook with 4K display unveiled

ASUS has launched a new premium laptop by the name of ZenBook Pro 15. The laptop features a 4K display panel and is powered by the latest Intel 8th- Gen Core i9 processor. ASUS claims that the laptop is a powerhouse built in the smallest form factor.

The ZenBook Pro comes in a solid aluminium body weighing around 1.86kg with a thickness of just 18.9mm. The laptop comes in only a single colour variant – Deep Dive Blue. As the name suggests, the laptop features a 15.6- inch 4K display with a 16: 9 touchscree­n panel. The laptop features 7.3mm thin bezel on the front with a screen-to-body- ratio of 83 per cent. The laptop showcases a VGA camera and a full- size backlit keyboard, with 1.5mm of key travel, while the touchpad is glass covered and lastly, it also features an integrated fingerprin­t scanner for added security.

On the specificat­ions front, the ZenBook Pro is powered on an Intel Core i9- 8950HK 2.9GHz hexa core processor with Turbo Boost ( up to 4.5GHz). it’s accompanie­d by 16GB of RAM and is also equipped with a 4GB GDDR5 NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 GPU. As for the storage, the ZenBook Pro 15 features 1TB of PCIe SSD that promises to deliver 3000Mbps read speeds. The ZenBook Pro runs on Windows 10 Pro. The laptop is fuelled by a 75Whr battery that promises to provide a backup of up to 9 hours.

When it comes to connectivi­ty, the laptop is equipped with two Type- C USB 3.1 Thunderbol­t ports, two Type- A USB 3.1 ports, one HDMI port and a headphone jack as well as a microSD slot. ASUS is also offering a full HD variant of this laptop along with 8thGen Intel i7 and i5 processors. The price, however, is yet to be known.
