Lenovo launches K5 Note ( 2018) with SD450 SoC

Lenovo has launched two new smartphone­s — the K5 Note, a refreshed version of its 2016 handset, and a budget A5 smartphone.

The K5 Note comes with a much modern design in comparison to the 2016 version and along with hardware to boot. The Lenovo K5 Note has a 6inch IPS display with a screen ratio of 18: 9. The resolution found here is 720 x 1440 pixels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 450 chipset, paired with a 3GB/ 4GB of RAM and 32/ 64GB of onboard storage. For additional storage, a 256GB MicroSD card can be added.

There’s a 16MP rear primary camera with AI capabiliti­es and f/ 2.0 aperture along with a 2MP secondary shooter with a f/ 2.4 aperture. The frontfacin­g camera is rated at 8MP unit with f/ 2.0 aperture. The Lenovo K5 note is fuelled by a 3760mAh battery. The handset is adorned with a Lenovo ZUI 4.0 overlay on top of the Android 8.1 Oreo OS.

The A5, on the other hand, comes equipped with a MediaTek MT6739 SoC aided by 3GB RAM and 16GB/ 32GB storage. Additional­ly one can expand upon it by using a microSD card up to 256GB. The A5 sports a 5.45- inch screen with a resolution of 740 x 1440 pixels. The OS used here is ZUI 3.9 on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The rear camera is rated at 13MP with a f/ 2.2 aperture while the front- facing camera is an 8MP snapper with an aperture value of f/ 2.2. The battery bundled in the Lenovo A5 is a 4000mAh battery.

The K5 Note is priced at CNY 799 ( approximat­ely ` 8,375) for the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage variant. The higher end model with 4GB/ 64GB configurat­ion is priced at CNY 999 ( approximat­ely ` 10,471).

The Lenovo A5, on the other hand, costs CNY 599 ( approximat­ely ` 6,278).
