BHULLAR IN JOINT LEAD AT PATTAYA

New Delhi: Gaganjeet Bhullar put himself in prime position for a ninth Asian tour title with a second successive six- under 65 to share the lead with Thailand’s Jazz Janewattan­anond after the third round of Queen’s Cup in Pattaya, Thailand, on Saturday. Bhullar moved from tied third to share the top spot with a total of 15- under 198. Bhullar shot four- under 31 on Saturday. Rashid Khan ( 68) moved to T11, while Khalin Joshi ( 67) moved up to T23 and S. Chikkarang­appa ( 70) was T38. Honey Baisoya ( 73) and Viraj Madappa ( 71) were both T55 and Himmat Rai ( 74) was T66.

SHARMA MAKES THE CUT In Paris, Shubhankar Sharma made the cut at the HNA Open de France, carding a 2- under 69 in the second round. The 21year- old totalled 3- over 145 to make the cut which fell at 4over. S. S. P. Chawrasia ( 75- 74) missed out. Marcus Kinhult hit a stunning 65 that handed him a two- shot lead heading into the weekend.

ADITI TIED 21ST Aditi Ashok shot a one- over 73 to be tied 21st with a 36- hole aggregate of 1- under 143 in the second round of the KPMG Women’s PGA Championsh­ip in Kildeer, USA. Aditi parred the first 15 holes and found her first birdie on the Par- 4 16th hole but finished bogey- bogey for last two holes and dropped to 73. So Yeon Ryu finished strong with birdies on 14, 15 and 17 to move into a share of the lead at 6- under par, along with first round leader Sung Hyun Park and Brooke Henderson.
