1WILD WILD COUNTRY: An indepth look at how a sex cult attempts to take over a town in rural America — how much more exciting can it get? Easily the best documentary I’ve watched in a long, long time. It’s incredibly well constructed and shot, and tells a great story which Hollywood's greatest writers would struggle to replicate. 2WORLD WAR II IN COLOUR - NETFLIX: You know you’re approaching 30 when your top two recommendations are documentaries. History was awfully boring in school, but if they had showed me this documentary and a Call of Duty videogame instead of textbooks, I’d have been a topper. Fantastically remastered footage, and a great indepth explanation of one of the most fascinating periods. 3MR ROBOT ( SEASON 3) - AMAZON PRIME VIDEO: Season 2 was a bit of a struggle. Season 3 takes my favourite schizophrenic- hacking genius on a fascinating and oddly emotional journey that was so good, I binge watched half of it on one flight. 4THE JOEL MCHALE SHOW - NETFLIX: Thanks to Community ( easily my favourite), I’ve been a fan of Joel McHale for a few years. There’s something about dry wit and breaking the fourth wall that always gets me. The show is the best form of mindless stupidity, where a great presenter and great writers dissect the most bizarre scenes from shows currently streaming. It’s a hoot, and great to watch with dinner. 5SHAITAAN HAVELI - AMAZON PRIME VIDEO: By far India’s best comedy horror product, made by an incredibly funny guy — Varun Thakur. It’s ludicrously stupid, with a surprisingly engaging plot and some great casting, characters, and genuine LOL moments. If you’re a fan of Varun, you will love this show.
