‘ SHIVRAJ GOVT SCHEME TO HELP POOR GLOBALLY’
A ruling BJP leader here on Wednesday created a flutter in his party circle when he described a populist programme launched by Shivraj Singh Chouhan government ahead of November Assembly elections in Madhya Pradesh, an international scheme aimed at “benefiting poor across the world”. Taking the gathering he was addressing here by surprise, sitting MLA and vice- president of
MP unit of BJP Rameswar Sharma said the “Mukhyamantri Jankalyan ( sambal) Yojana- 2018”, launched by the state government, was aimed at waiving electricity dues of around nine crore poor people in the world. “The scheme will benefit the poor of the world”, he added. According to the latest census, MP has a total population of 7.2 crore. The scheme, launched a couple of days ago, was aimed at waiving of dues of electricity bills of the labourers and Below Poverty Line ( BPL) families till June 30, 2018. The populist scheme will entail an expenditure of 70 crore to the state government.
