The policy aims to provide broadband connectivity to every citizen with speed of 50 megabit per second. The policy proposes to review various levies. 12.5 lakh Wi- Fi hotspot is likely to be installed in panchayats.
The policy also proposes to reform the regulatory structure to make it forward looking and relevant to the changes that are creating a churn in the sector.
