Three from Delhi in for RFC India

Three off- roading teams from Delhi will participat­e in the Isuzu RFC India, the country’s toughest internatio­nal off- road motorsport event in Goa from July 21 to 28.

Representi­ng the offroading club Gerrari Offroaders Chandigarh, Bijender Singh ( codriver Gajender Singh), Eric Benny ( co- driver Akash Gupta) and Pragun Arora ( codriver Rajiv Yadav) will be eyeing the team trophy alongside three Chandigarh- based teams from the same club.

The Rainforest Challenge of Malaysia is counted among the 10 toughest motor races in the world. The India edition of RFC was launched in 2014 by Delhibased Cougar Motorsport and is now counted amongst the top three RFC global events out of the 51 editions across 21 countries. RFC India is an extreme off- road motorsport competitio­n that tests the contestant­s’ driving and vehicle recovery skills, team spirit, along with their physical and mental strength under extreme off- road conditions.

In all, 41 teams from various parts of the country will participat­e in RFC India where they will undertake 26 special stages. The event follows a system wherein the team with maximum points at the end of all the SS claims the title.

Prize money on offer amounts to $ 10,000, including an automatic free entry worth $ 3,900 to the RFC event in Malaysia at the end of the year.
