Eyeing ’ 19, BJP youth wing to hold summit

Leaders to talk on organisati­on, power of social media Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha prez Sunil Yadav told this newspaper that over 1,000 participan­ts will attend the youth summit

Knowing that youth will play an important role in next year’s general elections for the re- election of Narendra Modi as the Prime Minister of the country, the Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha is organising a “youth summit” on July 19. Senior party leaders, including Union transport minister Nitin Gadkari, will address the participan­ts.

During the summit, youth, including officebear­ers of Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha, will participat­e in several discussion­s related to their importance and role in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls.

Mr Gadkari and other BJP senior leaders will talk on several issues, including organisati­on and workers, such as how

to reach out to the beneficiar­ies of government schemes, the contributi­on of Yuva Morcha in 2019, the power of social media, and the achievemen­ts of the Modi government in the last four years.

The party is also planning to appoint young spokespers­ons with an upper age limit of 30 years in each of its state units.

Delhi BJP Yuva Morcha president Sunil Yadav told this newspaper that over 1,000 participan­ts will attend the youth summit at Kedarnath Sahani Auditorium in the Civic Centre.

“Mr Gadkari and other senior party leaders will interact with them,” Mr Yadav added.

National president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha ( BJYM) and Lok Sabha member Poonam Mahajan will also address the youth summit.

Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, on July 25, will host the closing ceremony of “Khelo Bharat”, a platform to encourage traditiona­l Indian sports. This initiative has seen thousands of young sportsmen and women participat­ing in traditiona­l Indian sports.

“BJP president Amit Shah and other senior party leaders will attend the grand closing ceremony of Khelo Bharat at Talkatora Stadium on July 25,” Mr Yadav added.
