Motorola Moto G6: The other choice

- CHANDRAKANT ISI

The 2013 G series lost its sheen to the aggressive brands such as Xiaomi and Honor. However, the sixth iteration is now battling to gain lost ground. It comes in two variants — 3GB/ 32GB and 4GB/ 64GB at ` 14,000 and ` 16,000 respectively — which stands right up Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro’s alley!

The G6 uses a glass back — It’s classy, but we still preferred the metal back. It sports a tall display with an 18: 9 aspect ratio using a 5.7- inch IPS Full HD+ LCD panel with Gorilla Glass 3. The screen produces sharp images and the colour reproduction is great, however highly reflective when outdoors.

The smartphone features Android 8.0 Oreo with stock UI which is light and bloatware- free. It is powered by a Snapdragon 450 processor that offers enough power for pleasant smartphone experience. The device hardly lags or stutters while performing the routine tasks.

missing OIS could ruin your pics. The Moto G6 packs in a 3000mAh battery that lasts for a day, and also features Turbo fast charging that needs just a couple of hours to top up.

The G6 is a good phone — it offers a pleasant user experience and sports a competent camera. The build quality is pretty solid too. If you are a Moto fan, this handset can be considered over the likes of the hot selling Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro.
