Edu bodies flooded, part of road caves in after rains

Heavy rains in the last 48 hours and waterloggi­ng in streets, hospitals and educationa­l institutio­ns have exposed the failures of the state government. Questions are also being raised on the claims of the state government to include Patna into the list of “smart city” in the next few years.

Government officials looked worried after rainwater entered into the wards and ICU of Nalanda Medical College and Hospital, causing trouble for patients who have been admitted there.

We hope the JD( U) won’t declare this a stunt by Lord Indra. It seems that now Lord Indra is also highlighti­ng the state government’s failures and mistakes.”

Sources told this newspaper that hospital staff faced difficulty in providing medical support to patients and several machines were also shut down due to water.
