After a seven- month agony, an 18- year- old girl who had been missing since December last has been reunited with her family. But the ordeal that she had to suffer for months has left the family shell shocked.

The teenager, who is originally from Bhilwara in Rajasthan was living with her family in Gurgaon. In December last, she had gone to her village to repay some money her father had borrowed.

As per the family’s complaint, the girl was abducted at knife point by three men identified as Darbar, Mukesh and Shiva, who took turns to rape the teenager. Fearing that the girl would reveal the crime to the police, the three men kept her confined in a room where she was raped again by them. They also kept shifting houses across states and took the victim along with them as they moved around.

The victim said she was first taken to Gujarat then to Delhi and two weeks ago, to Haryana an finally managed to flee ner captors on Friday when she was confined in a room in Wazirabad in Gurgaon.

The three men had gone out for some work and the girl managed to get out of the room. She reportedly saw her mother on the road and with her help, managed to escape. The family then approached the police and filed a complaint against the trio.

The trio were booked under Sections 342 ( wrongful confinement), 363 ( kidnap), 376D ( gang rape), 506 ( criminal intimidation) and 34 ( common intention) of the IPC.

The police, however, failed to nab the culprits as by the time they reached the spot there was no trace of them. The FIR which was initially lodged in Gurgaon was later sent to Rajasthan Police for further investigation.
