Class 11 student stabbed by his junior in school

In a shocking incident, a Class 11 student was injured after being stabbed by a junior following a fight at a government school in Shahdara’s Krishna Nagar area, said the police on Thursday.

The incident took place inside the school premises after the morning prayers. The victim sustained injuries on his hands, legs, and back. He has been hospitalis­ed and is said to be stable.

According to sources, the accused student has been apprehende­d and will be presented before the Juvenile Justice Board ( JJB). Subsequent­ly, he will be sent to an observatio­n home.

According to informatio­n, the incident took place at the Government Boys school in Krishna Nagar.

a scuffle in the school playground.

During the tussle one of the students took out a knife and hit Mohammad Umar Ansari ( 17). He sustained four stab wounds on his back and one on his leg.

Seeing the gravity of the situation the school administra­tion and teachers intervened and took the injured to Hedgewar Hospital. After being informed, the relatives of the victim reached the hospital. The school administra­tion later informed the police about the incident.

The police is now waiting to get a formal complaint from the victim’s kin to take further action.
