Man held for killing bizman in Ranhola

The outer district police solved a builder’s murder case on Wednesday, by arresting the main accused. One (. 32 Bore) semi- automatic pistol that was used to commit the crime has also been recovered. The police has also recovered three live cartridges alongwith the pistol.

The accused has been identified as Sahil Tomar ( 25), who was wanted for the murder of a businessma­n in Ranhola, which took place on Saturday.

During the course of investigat­ion, the police found out that the deceased Rajender Goel was in the business of selling and purchasing of land/ built up properties, and in that process, he was having various litigation­s filed in different courts on different land and properties.

DCP ( outer) Seju P. Kuruvilla said, on Saturday, four assailants came on bikes and fired gunshots at Rajender Goel. During investigat­ion, one civil matter was noticed in which it was found that one Sunil Kumar had filed a petition in Tis Hazari court with a request to restrict the defendant Goel by entering the property located in the area of Nihal Vihar.

It was revealed that Kumar, along with few others came at the spot and threatened Goel that he will face consequenc­es. It was found that ever since Kumar was absconding.

Efforts are being made to arrest the rest of the accused, said the DCP.
