- SHASHI BHUSHAN

The Delhi BJP is conducting a survey to know the popularities of its all seven sitting Lok Sabha MPs from the national capital. For the purpose, the Delhi BJP has engaged a well- known agency.

The survey agency has been asked to find out the people’s mood, performance and popularities of all seven sitting Lok Sabha MPs in Delhi. The survey will be held in all the seven parliamentary constituencies in first half of September.

The findings of the survey will play a key role in selecting BJP candidates in the city for the next Lok Sabha polls. A well placed source in the Delhi BJP said that the survey will be done for 15 days from September 1 to September 15 by a leading agency in all the seven parliamentary constituencies with key focus to judge the people’s mood against the sitting legislators from the city.

“Focus will be to get direct people’s feedback on the performance of seven sitting Lok Sabha members. It can be also called performance audit of the four- and- half- years of work of these elected leaders in their constituency,” he added.

Questionnaire for survey will not name any sitting Lok Sabha member but ask about the work done by the Member of Parliament in the areas, his or her accessibility and popularity.

In second half of September, the findings of the survey report will be submitted to Delhi BJP leadership, and later on, it will be handed over to party’s national leadership for perusal.

A party insider claimed that the findings of the survey will be taken into consideration in deciding BJP’s nomination for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls in the city. “Findings of survey report will consider before re- nominating all seven sitting Lok Sabha members,” he said
