Cong holds protest over Centre- AAP’s illegal sealing

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

Holding the BJP and the Aam Aadmi Party responsible for the large scale sealing of non- polluting household industries in the national capital, Delhi Congress, under the leadership of its state president Ajay Maken, launched a “Nyay Yudh” on Wednesday, at Gandhi Nagar in East Delhi.

In presence of thousands of people, the party leaders said that either the BJP and the AAP should stop the sealing or they should quit their respective governments at the Centre and in the city.

The anger of the people affected by sealing was evident from the fact that they had started assembling since 1 pm.

It was during Mr Maken’s tenure as the Union urban development minister that he had not only made provision in the master plan for running non- polluting household industries in residential areas, but had given legal sanction to make it clear that whenever the government wants, it could increase the area of such industries.

Former Delhi ministers Dr A. K. Walia, HaroonYusuf, Narendra Nath and the co- ordinator of the Nyay Yudh agitation senior leader and exMLA Mukesh Sharma also addressed the gathering.

In the whole of East Delhi, posters and banners had been put up against the BJP and the AAP for the illegal sealing in Delhi.

Throwing an open challenge to the AAP and the BJP over the sealing drive, Mr Maken said both these political outfits were res- ponsible for the illegal sealing. He said it was because of their anti- poor policies, people have been suffering due to the illegal sealing.

Mr Maken also said that the Delhi government has miserably failed on all fronts due to its inaction and inefficiency.
