Hami joined by Minaj at party

Lewis Hamilton was joined by an array of stars including rapper Nicki Minaj and supermodels Gigi Hadid and Winnie Harlow at the launch of his new clothing line, says the Sun.

The Formula One star has swapped the pit lane for the catwalk after unveiling a new range of clothing in conjunction with Tommy Hilfiger.

And Hamilton was accompanied by a large group of supermodels as he posed for photos in his latest TommyXLewis gear.

Shanina Shaik, Devon Windsor, Alessandra Ambrosio and Winnie Harlow were all present at the exclusive New York party.

While there were also appearances by actor Chris Tucker, singer Nicki Minaj and the man himself, Tommy Hilfiger.

Speaking ahead of the event, Hamilton admitted he was nervous about his new fashion label than his current battle with Sebastian Vettel at the top of the F1 table.

Hamilton said: “You’re always judged fashionwise, particularly when you’re at fashion shows, when you go to events or galas.

“Even when you’re seen in the street you’re judged when you’re in the fashion space. That’s nothing new.

“But this is different because I’m so heavily involved in the whole design process. I really designed this collection.

“I chose every fabric, every finish, all the tiny details that I’ve been working on. This is my first time designing. Naturally I’ve had the right guidance, I’ve suggested some things and maybe do it this way. But I’m really excited.”
