The owner of a call centre and his peon, who were the accomplices of Rohit Tomar, have been arrested in connection with the viral video in which Rohit was seen thrashing a woman. On Saturday, the Delhi police said that the two were present at the scene of the crime.

Ali Hasan ( 24) is the owner of the call centre, where the viral video was shot, and Rajesh ( 30) works as the pantry boy in the call centre. One of them filmed the entire incident. In the video, he can be heard asking Tomar to stop beating the woman. But Tomar continued thrashing and abusing her. The main accused, Rohit Tomar, who has been arrested by the West district police on Friday, will be arrested by Dwarka district on production warrant from the court for further investigation, said Dwarka police officials.

Home minister Rajnath Singh had asked DCP Amulya Patnaik to take strict action against the accused. The accused is the son of assistant subinspector ( ASI) Ashok Singh Tomar of the Delhi police. The victim has told the police that Rohit had earlier raped her in the same call centre and had beaten her up after she told him she would go to the police and report the rape.

Rohit has been charged with criminal intimidation, molestation, and rape based on the versions given by two women.

The first case was registered on Thursday at the Tilak Nagar police station in West Delhi following a complaint by Rohit’s girlfriend. DCP ( West) Monika Bhardwaj said Rohit had threatened his girlfriend with the same kind of treatment if she did not follow his instructions. Police said that the woman, who was allegedly threatened by Tomar with an assault video, had been in a relationship with him for one- and- ahalf years.

The woman seen in the video told the police that Tomar had called her to his friend’s office and raped her, DCP ( Dwarka) Anto Alphonse said.
