OnePlus 6T confirmed in new ad

- AGE CORRESPONDENT

The OnePlus 6T was already leaked on the Internet, with some of its features even confirmed by the company itself. We already know that it will sport an in- display fingerprint sensor and a smaller display notch, like the Vivo V11 Pro. Last night, OnePlus rolled out its first teaser during a cricket match on Indian TV, confirming the 6T moniker for their next device.

The OnePlus 6T is shown off partially by brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan in a short TV commercial. Bachchan speaks about a “new cool way to unlock the phone,” which is clearly pointed towards the in- display fingerprint sensor that was previously confirmed by the company on one of their blog posts. He also says the new phone is very fast, which is expected considering the 6T could be running on the Snapdragon 845 chipset with Android 9 Pie out- of- the- box ( the OnePlus 6 is already on Android Pie Beta).

However, Bachchan has weirdly placed one of his fingers just under the camera module. Given that the capacitive fingerprint sensor is no more on the new phone, there could be a high chance that OnePlus is keeping a triple camera setup as a surprise for the October 17 launch event. Previous speculations about a triple camera setup on the 6T also raise the doubts. OnePlus’ triple camera setup could retain the OP6’ s 16MP + 20MP setup and either add a telephoto sensor or 3D TOF ( TimeofFlight) sensor.

The OnePlus 6T is expected to be pretty similar to the 6, except for the in- display fingerprint sensor, a new camera setup with a 25MP front and possibly a triple rear setup, an SD845 with at least 8GB of RAM and Android 9 Pie. Keep a tab on all the latest happenings regarding the OnePlus 6T.
