Amazon Echo grows up with upgrades

Amazon announced a new line- up of Echo devices, and an Echo companion device, making it easier to bring the features and convenience of Alexa to any room in the home. The new range of Echo and Echo companion devices for this year include:

Echo Dot: Now with a new speaker for louder and crisper sound, an updated fabric design, for ` 4,499.

Echo Plus: It comes with a built- in Zigbee hub, plus an upgraded speaker and a new design, and priced at ` 14,999.

Echo Sub: Add deep bass to music playback on Echo devices. This subwoofer costs ` 12,999.

The Echo Dot: The nextgeneration Echo Dot features a new fabric design and comes with an all- new curved shape. The Echo Dot is available in Charcoal, Heather Gray, and Sandstone, letting customers to easily mix and match. Amazon claims that the new Echo Dot plays music louder with richer sound, all in a compact design. Connect to your home theatre or speaker via Bluetooth or 3.5mm audio cable for even bigger sound.

Echo Plus: With its builtin Zigbee smart home hub, the new Echo Plus makes setting up compatible smart home devices easy. Just say, “Alexa, discover my devices,” and Echo Plus will automatically discover and setup compatible lights and plugs without the need for additional hubs or apps. Echo Plus now includes an embedded temperature sensor, so you can set temperaturebased routines using smart home devices.

Echo Sub: Echo Sub is the first wireless Echo subwoofer from Amazon when listening to music on existing or new Echo devices. You can connect Echo Sub to compatible Echo devices to create a 1.1 or 2.1 pairing for stereo sound. The equaliser can adjust the bass, mid- range, and treble of the pairing using your voice.
