‘ Sealing panel colluding with corrupt babus’

Suspend process of sealing till court hearing is on, says Tiwari

On Wednesday, Delhi BJP president Manoj Tiwari said in a press statement that till the hearing in the case on sealing drive is not completed, the process of sealing should remain suspended.

Mr Tiwari also accused the Supreme Courtappointed monitoring committee conducting a sealing drive in the city of “running a racket” in collusion with “corrupt officials”, a charged rubbished by the three- member panel.

According to the statement, Mr Tiwari said that the Supreme Court had offered him to become a ‘ sealing officer’ in the context of Gokulpur sealing incident and that he was asked to file an affidavit before the Supreme Court.

“The monitoring committee is not discharging its responsibilities judiciously. Atrocities are being committed upon the people of Delhi under the policy of pick and choose. People of Delhi are terrified due to the action taken by the monitoring committee between 2006 and 2018 in connivance with the corrupt officers. I have submitted a list of 1,000 places as directed by the Supreme Court,” added the Delhi BJP statement.

Further quoting Mr Tiwari, the statement said: “I was not heard today ( Wednesday) and the hearing has been adjourned till the next date. I have full faith in the Constitution of India. The Indian judicial system is the best judicial system. Some people are questioning the judicial system, but I oppose them.”

“I want to assure all of Delhi that I stand with the poor, weak, and suffering people who are being victimised by being branded unlawful. I pray to the Supreme Court that till the hearing in the case on sealing atrocities is not completed, the process of sealing should remain suspended,” it added.
