4 lakh merchants to sell on Amazon

With festive season accounts for 30- 40 per cent of consumer spending, Amazon India said it has partnered with hundreds of leading brands, enabled over 4 lakh sellers to sell on its marketplac­e to offer an unparallel­ed experience to customers.

The world’s largest marketplac­e would launch its Great Indian Festival from October 10 to 15. The festival will begin early for Prime members from 12 noon on October 9 as part of Prime Early Access.

Amazon India claims that customers will get never- seen- before deals on the widest selection of smartphone­s, large appliances and TVs, home & kitchen products, fashion, consumable­s such as grocery & beauty, consumer electronic­s and more throughout the celebratio­n. For the festival season, it has on sale 170 million products across hundreds of categories and has expanded its fulfilment footprint with more than 50 fulfilment centres in 13 states offering a storage capacity of over 20 million cubic feet.

The company is also offering easy finance options in partnershi­p several financial institutio­ns. The customers can also opt for one- day, two- day, same day, scheduled, Sunday and morning deliveries.

According to Amazon India, customers opting to go cashless for their festive shopping can avail exciting offers and save more with an instant discount of 10 per cent when they pay with SBI Debit and Credit Cards.

Apart from this, customers can top up their Amazon Pay balance and get ` 300 back. ● Amazon Pay EMI: This will be card- less EMIs for eligible Amazon customers. It is a hassle free way of availing instant credit for customers that currently don’t have access to credit. It offers no cost EMI for 3 and 6 months. ● Debit card EMI: EMI on debit cards has been expanded to include customers of three more banks. ● No- cost EMI: Available on all top banks and for Bajaj Finance card holders ● Instant Bank Discounts: Instant bank discounts were launched recently for immediate gratificat­ion. They will continue through the season.
