India may get US Iran oil waiver

There are some indications that India could receive a waiver from the United States for exemption from the November 4 deadline of stopping Iranian oil imports completely, sources said. A waiver means New Delhi can continue buying Iranian oil even after November 4 without attracting US sanctions. This comes as New Delhi and Washington are in touch to decide the dates of US President Donald Trump’s possible visit, that is likely anytime from February next year.
