Here are five things to look out for in the Bundesliga this weekend.

Bad patch Bayern Munich may have won their last four games, but both coach Niko Kovac and his players know that they need to improve when they host Freiburg on Saturday.

“We’re not playing our best football at the moment,” Arjen Robben told Amazon Music this week, after watching his teammates labour to a 2- 1 cup win over fourth tier side SV Roedinghausen.

“We need to win against Freiburg, maybe we can take another step forward and gain confidence before we play Dortmund the week after.” Kovac will have to do without in- form midfield maestro Thiago, who tore an ankle ligament against Roedinghausen.

Defensive disaster Leaders Borussia Dortmund, meanwhile, are facing a defensive crisis as they look to keep Bayern at bay with a win in Wolfsburg.

With Manuel Akanji, Lukasz Piszczek and Marcel Schmelzer all out injured, things went from bad to worse when Abdou Diallo limped off the field early in Dortmund’s 3- 2 cup win over Union Berlin on Wednesday.

Raphael Guerreiro is set to take Diallo’s place in defence, while up front, playing their first home game of the season, will eye victory with the crowd behind them. They were held to 1- 1 draw by Gokulam FC.

Aizawl FC, on the other hand, have lost their first encounter of the season against Shillong Lajong FC 1- 2 in a match Kromah scored from a penalty.

Kromah can start as an attacking midfielder, as a striker and can be lethal from the left wing and his inside knowledge of Mohun Bagan’s strategies and tactics will also be a key factor.

All eyes in the match will be on Mohun Bagan’s fan favourite Sony Norde, who is likely to start after clearing a fitness test.

The Haitian, who played an instrumental role in their I- League triumph in 2015, has completed the signing formalities this morning and will be back in the reckoning after an injury- laden last season.

Norde played for about an hour in a practice match against Kalighat on Thursday and he is all set to be back, making a formidable attacking line- up alongside Dipanda Dicka and Henry Kisekka.

The pressure will be on Mohun Bagan with archrivals East Bengal notching two back- to- back wins.
