The teaser trailer for The Lion King remake dropped on Friday, and in response, Disney fans dropped everything and flocked to pay tribute. According to TheHollywoodReporter. com, The Lion King’s teaser trailer, which recreates the opening scene of the beloved 1994 animated film, has become the second most watched trailer in one day of any studio ever.

The trailer generated 224.6 million global views in 24 hours, according to Disney studios, coming in second to the trailer for Avengers: Infinity War which attracted 238 million views.

Disney celebrated the trailer’s success in an Instagram post, captioning a picture from the trailer, “To our entire pride: Thank you for helping the teaser trailer for # TheLionKing become the mostviewed Disney trailer debut ever as it reached a record- breaking 224.6 million global views in 24 hours ( sic).” Beyoncé posted a series of photos on Instagram as a tribute to her late friend, model Kim Porter. In one image, which appeared to be taken from a yearbook, Porter had a red ribbon in her hair. Alongside the photo, Beyoncé seemed to reference Heaven, her own heartbreaking song about loss, writing, “Heaven couldn’t wait for you,” reports EOnline. com. Beyoncé went on to post another picture from Porter’s childhood, as well as an image of Porter posing alongside her and Combs’ twin daughters D’Lila Star and Jessie James, now 11. Both of the images were shared without a caption.

Porter’s family and friends, including ex- boyfriend and father of her children Combs, bid farewell to her in an elaborate funeral held in Columbus, Georgia. The

pilot episode of Young Sheldon finally explains why Sheldon ( Jim Parsons) doesn’t have a Texas drawl. In narration, he explains that he switched to a mid- Atlantic accent because people with Texan accents “don’t win Nobel prizes.”
