WE NEED TO ‘UNSCHOOL’ AND RETHINK SYSTEM
Ibelieve that classroom based education, and a ‘text book’ based education is outdated and obsolete! Learning is a natural process, and the school system, actually interrupts it and limits our learning.
We should disrupt/democratice our idea of learning itself. We need to ‘unschool’. The school system was designed to enslave minds, to create a slave class. This is widely documented. This was done to create a slave class for capitalism. When children are cut away from the realities of life, and are indoctrinated for the best part of their lives, how can they be objective? And which text book can claim to be authentic. It is one person’s story vs. another’s. So, it’s either that indoctrination or this one. This is a never ending war. So, when the school system itself was established for ulterior motives, there’s not much to gain by tinkering with the tools.
What we need is a system rethink. We need children to grow up in their immediate communities, facing realities, and questioning everything; that’s when they will grow up into adults that relate to their world, and become productive and useful citizens. And that is the kind of citizens our world requires on an urgent basis, not the kind of adults that the education system now spews out, who are unthinking, can’t relate to the world, doesn’t know what happens on his own street, cant contribute in any meaningful way to society or the world, except being an employee, or a consumer.
