‘The first look special to every director’

- UMA RAMASUBRAMANIAN

On Saturday, South Indian director Raghava Lawrence walked out of the Akshay Kumar- starrer Laxmmi Bomb, a remake of Tamil superhit film Kanchana. The director was extremely disturbed by the fact that the makers of the film went ahead and released the first look of the film without even discussing it with him.

Raghava says, “Its a very sensitive matter. My lawyer will speak to the production. The more I will discuss it will get diluted. As a director what hurt me the most was how they could release the first look of my film without even discussing it with me. More than anything else, self-respect comes first. ”

He further reveals as a director he has his own dreams with this project.

“As a director, everyone has their dream and they want to approach their film a certain way. The first look of the film is very special to any director and this is really bad whatever happened. I feel like a cartoon. I have nothing against Akshay Kumar, but more than anything else, trust is very important. Trust is even more than money. I am very disturbed,” he added. Raghava however, doesn’t want to hurt anyone following, which he says he is also ready to give

away his script to the “I really don’t want to hurt anyone which is why I thought a lot before getting out the tweet. If you read the tweet, it is very subtle and diplomat without hurting anyone. I am even ready to give my script because the purpose is no one should feel bad that is why I am also ready to give script.”

Laxmmi Bomb is the Hindi remake of Tamil film directed by Raghava. The film stars Aksh Kumar, Kiara Advani and R Madhn in pivotal roles.
