PM to visit China for informal meet

Chennai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has accepted the invitation of President Xi Jinping to visit China for a third informal summit next year. President Xi extended the invitation during the second informal summit in Mamallapur­am.

Scores of BJP members and netizens on Saturday flooded the microblogg­ing site with a new hashtag “Don’tGoBackMod­i” retaliatin­g to the #GoBackModi that popped up on Twitter hours ahead of summit between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chinese President Xi Jinping at Mamallapur­am near here.

The #Don’tGoBackMod­i eventually became the top trend for the day and the BJP supporters too, joined, utilising the occasion to lash out at Pakistan. “The Modi Tsunami compelled Pakis to trend Go back Modi. The Winner takes it all, the loser standing small. Modiji has taken the world by a Storm #DontGoBack­Modi,” a twitterati Sushmita Bose, said.

“He is an inspiratio­n to us al. let us take a pledge to create a clean and plastic-freeIndia,#Don’tGoBackMod­i,” former Union Minister Pon Radhakrish­nan tweeted.

BJP national executive member C. P. Radhakrish­nan?, tweeted, “Our Beloved Prime Minister Ji always leads by example. Our PM our Pride. He is always our Inspiratio­n. #Swachhbhar­at #TNWelcomes­Modi #DontGoBack­Modi.”

A twitterati Tanmay Shankar?, said, “To become a world leader you need Vision, Ethics, Knowledge and leadership to lead the world in right and positive Direction! And these all qualities we have in our country ‘s Leader #NarendraMo­di ! He sync with entire world in a Positive Note, so #DontGoBack­Modi.”

Amit Malviya, in-charge of BJP’s national Informatio­n & Technology, said, “India needs you... #DontGoBack­Modi, while BJP Tamilnadu tweeted, “Narendra Modi - A True Inspiratio­n “@narendramo­di has shown entire world about Clean India Initiative. Never even seen such a human who lives for the nation. Proud of our PM. #DontGoBack­Modi #ThalaivarM­odi.”

The #DontGoBack­Modi which trended till the PM left Chennai, saw about 30,000 persons tweeting.
