Diwali, the festival of lights, is around the corner. The festival brings with it a plethora of activities that make people burst with joy and excitement — enjoying delicious food and sweets, lighting up the house, and the puja ceremonies. Numerous rituals are performed to ensure that Diwali brings happiness and good fortune. Apart from all this, Diwali has a deeper significance because it is a special Swayam Siddha Muhurta. This means that all kinds of auspicious actions — such as charity, poojas, mantras and rituals performed on the day of Diwali multiply manifold. Here are 12 Diwali rituals as per your zodiac sign that shall bring prosperity and good luck in your life. Let’s start with the first sign of the Zodiac, Aries (March 21 to April 20). People born under the sun sign of Aries should donate a blanket or a shawl to someone on Diwali day. Those born under the sun sign of Taurus (April 21 to May 21) must light a diya in the south-western direction of their house. This will drive away all negativity or lacuna from their life. Gemini (May 22 to June 21) people should offer a coconut to Goddess Durga on the day of Diwali. This shall open up new opportunities for success and growth for you. Cancerians (June 22 to July 23) should offer boondi prasad to Lord Hanuman on Diwali. Leos (July 24 to August 23) should light a diya at the main entrance of their house. If it keeps burning till the next morning, it signifies immense financial growth and prosperity. Virgos (August 24 to September 23) should donate socks to elderly people on Diwali. Those born under the sun sign of Libra (September 24 to October 23) must recite Durga Chalisa on Diwali. This will usher health, wealth, prosperity and protection in their life. Scorpios (October 24 to November 22) should make offerings to the rising Sun on Diwali day. This will bring success, wealth and fame in their life. Sagittarius (November 23 to December 21) should plant a Peepul tree at a temple. As the tree grows, so shall their finances. Capricornians (December 22 to January 20) should donate red lentil (masoor) to an underprivileged person. Aquarians (January 21 to February 19) should feed birds on Diwali for happiness, health, wealth and tranquility. Pisceans (February 20 to March 20) should donate incense sticks at a Lakshmi temple.

My dear readers, I wish that this festival of lights brings you immense peace, prosperity, success, health and joy. Wishing you all a Happy Diwali!
