It was a delightful day for Delhi's fitness enthusiasts as they kick start their week with one of the biggest yoga and wellness festival ‘The Soul Project’. Organised by Mehak Chaudhry, and Pushpa Becto, the aim of the festival was to gather like-minded people to motivate them to make healthy choices and adopt conscious living. It featured over 20 wellness and fitness experts from across India.

Travelling was one of the main inspiration behind this festival. Mehak Chaudhry, founder, who has always been a fitness enthusiast, she recalls, “I was always into Yoga, suddenly, I left that, I felt that when I left yoga in between and started doing too much cardio and other gym workouts,

I start getting injured to often then and I released how yoga has been part of my life.”

“I feel that, in India, many people still take fitness and going to the gym as a task, and then the idea for this festival struck me. I always wanted it to be a fun way of learning the importance of fitness. So we made sure that there was no time boundation for this festival,” she adds. The sessions in this festival were conducted by India’s top Yogis and Fitness trainers like Nidhi Mohan, Malini Ramani, Sapna, Ira Yoga, Sunaina Rekhi,

Mihir Jogh, Pradeep Mehta, Kavita Das, Ekta Sabil, Dev Om and many more.

On asking where does she see India in terms of fitness and adapting healthier lifestyle in next five years, she replies, “I still feel there is a long way to go but we are much better than we were in the earlier days. I see a lot of people travelling and playing adventure sport also now they are making an effort in choosing what they should eat and are adapting good habits, so this is something I feel that this will drive people to be more fit and healthy in upcoming years.”
