Sena: ‘MP virus’ will not play out in Maharashtra
As MP Chief Minister Kamal Nath-led Madhya Pradesh government is on the brink of collapse, the Shiv Sena in Maharashtra asserted that “MP virus” would not come to Maharashtra.
The party spokesperson and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Raut, who had played a key role while snapping alliance with the BJP before associating with the Congress and NCP, said that “Virus of MP” will not enter into the western state.
Meanwhile, former Mumbai Congress chief and Congress leader Sanjay Nirupam has predicted that the three-party MVA government will not survive for long. “Udhaar ka sindoor leke satta mein aayi hai, kab tak suhagan rahegi,” Mr Nirupam said referring to the future of MVA government.
Raut asserted that there’s an ‘excellent coordination’ between Shiv Sena supremo and Maharashtra chief minister Uddhav Thackeray, Congress interim president Sonia Gandhi and NCP chief Sharad Pawar and there’s no danger to the government. When asked Nirupam about the speculation of the MVA government collapsing, the former Mumbai Congress chief said that he does not have any concrete information on the same. But it is certain that the MVA government is not stable. Anyone can bring this government down. “In such situation, I can only say that Udhaar ka sindoor leke satta mein aayi hai, kab tak suhagan rahegi,” he added.
Calling Mr Scindia’s resignation a big loss to the Congress party, Mr Nirupam said that it is a big blow for the party.
“Mr Scindia is a popular leader and a good orator. It is a big loss to the party. He wanted to play a big role. I am sure the leadership would be aware of it. Intervention of the high-command was expected in it,” he added. It is a failure of the leadership.
