Georgia shooting schedule was completed ahead of time’ Pragya quarantines herself “I’m already bored”, says the actress

With coronavirus positive cases on the rise in India, Government on Monday banned travellers from EU, Turkey and UK from entering the country, starting March 18. As a precautionary measure, the unit filming Prabhas’ upcoming film has decided to get back to India by March 17. Rumours are rife that Prabhas had been constrained to suspend the shooting schedule due to increasing prevalence of the coronavirus. The film’s director Radhakrishna has, however, clarified that the shooting was not curtailed. Speaking to DC from Georgia, he said, “All these reports are baseless. We have just wrapped up our day’s work. We had only two days of shooting left, but we have completed the work on a war-footing. Prabhas and some of the crew are on their way to India.” The director thanked the officials of Georgia who helped them get things done easily. The unit had arrived in Georgia on March 3 and had planned a 14-day schedule. “Although there was a coronavirus outbreak we took all the precautionary measures,” the director said, adding that false rumours were spreading more panic than the real situation warranted. “We are aware of the gravity and respect the circumstances, we have taken all precautionary measures,” Radhakrishna stressed.

Recently Pooja Hegde and supporting actor Priyadarshi had left for Georgia and posted photos of deserted roads and airports. Admitting that it was indeed challenging to shoot amid such a sensitive situation, Radhakrishna said “But all thanks to all crew members who supported ramping up the shooting to meet the deadlines.” The unit was to fly to Europe for a brief schedule, but with the current crisis, this seems highly unlikely. “We will review the situation and act accordingly”, Radhakrishna said

In the context of the coronavirus pandemic, several people who cut short their trips abroad and returned to India have opted for selfisolation for 14-days as a precautionary measure to curb the spread of the virus. Pragya Jaiswal is one among those who have taken this responsible step.

She has quarantined herself after returning from a holiday in Indonesia. However, she seems to be bored with her self-imposed isolation. The Gunturodu star posted a photo captioned, “Day 1 of quarantine and I’m already holiday sick! #Takemeback (sic).”

On the work front, Pragya has not signed any film for the last two years. Her last release was Achari America Yatra.
