Asserting that India has only “one goal, one mission and one resolve” in its long fight against the global pandemic Covid-19 that is to win the battle, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday made five requests — including encouraging at least 40 people to donate to the Covid-19 relief fund — to the BJP workers on the party’s 40th foundation day. While praising the maturity shown by the people during the nationwide lockdown to check the virus spread, the PM asked the party workers to continue helping those in need during the lockdown and also asserted that India has set examples in the fight against coronavirus, which have been appreciated by many including the WHO.

He also recalled the contribution of BJP workers during its political journey till now and said it was through the mantra of organisation and dedication that the party has reached to its present position.

In his message to the party workers, BJP president J.P. Nadda asked

them to give up one meal to show solidarity with people facing hardships during the ongoing lockdown.

“It is a long fight but we cannot get tired or take a break… despite this long fight (against the virus) we have to achieve victory. Today, the entire country has one goal, one mission and one resolve that we have to win this battle against this global pandemic,” said the PM in his message to party workers.

In his five requests to the BJP workers, Mr Modi said while everyone is trying to help the poor and the needy in anyway they can, the practice should become like a campaign and small and big organsations should also be involved. Asking BJP workers to thank those in the first line of defence, Mr Modi also asked party workers to reach out to at least 40 people asking them to donate to the PMCARES fund and also urge them to download the Arogya Setu app, which keeps a check on coronavirus infected people and also disseminate information regarding the virus.
