Chief minister Arvind Kejriwal announced on Monday that his government will give pulse oximeters to the Covid-19 patients under home isolation in the city and said the number of coronavirus tests has increased by three times in the national capital. A serological survey based on 20,000 samples will also be conducted between June 27 to July 27 for a comprehensive analysis to devise a broad strategy to combat the pandemic. With 2,909 new cases in the last 24 hours, total Covid patients count rose to 62,655 in the national capital. With 58 deaths during the period, the death toll stands at 2,233. Addressing a digital press conference, Mr Kejriwal said that the Delhi government is going to provide pulse oxymeters to corona patients recovering under home isolation. “Every district will have oxygen concentrators, Delhi will have a helpline and the team will come to the homes of the recovering patients to provide you oxygen.”

According to Mr Kejriwal, Delhi has 25,000 active Covid-19 cases, around 12,000 people

under home isolation in the last one week, there is a rise of only 1000 active Covid-cases in Delhi. The Chief Minister asserted that Delhi is testing 18,000 people every day for Covid19, which has tripled in the last few weeks from 5000 tests per day. CM Kejriwal said that the country is fighting two wars against China, one is at the border and another against the virus from China, and asserted that people should not retreat in their fight against Corona, just as India’s 20 brave soldiers did not back down on the border.

“Delhi has seen a surge in the cases of corona, and while on one hand, we are trying to bring the situation under control by working together with the Central government and the people of Delhi, on the other hand, we are trying to provide the best treatment to the people who have been infected with Corona. There are around 25,000 active cases in Delhi.
