2 juveniles held for shooting 2 sisters

New Delhi: A 17-year-old girl and her 13-year-old sister were injured after they were shot allegedly by two boys in Southwest Delhi’s Kapashera on Thursday evening, the police said. One of the accused was engaged to the 17-year-old girl but their engagement was later called off after the boy suspected her of having a relationsh­ip with someone else. According to the police, the girl’s exfiancé called her near Gali No. 2 of Kapashera on the pretext of discussing something with her. The girl took her 13-yearold sister along with her. When they arrived at the spot, her ex-fiancé, who was accompanie­d by his friend, shot the girl with a countrymad­e pistol. In the process, the girl’s minor sister also sustained injuries on her leg, a senior police officer said. DCP (Southwest) Devender Arya said a case has been registered and both the accused have been apprehende­d.
