Kamal, Diggy target Scindia, taunt him as a ‘circus tiger’
A day after senior BJP leader Jyotiraditya Scindia reminded arch rivals Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh of his return to centrestage in Madhya Pradesh politics, using the popular Bollywood line “tiger abhi zinda hai”, the latter hit back Friday, with Mr Nath likening him to a “circus tiger”. Mr Scindia, who pulled down the 15-month Kamal Nath government by switching to the BJP three months ago, on Thursday reminded the two Congress veterans that he had made a strong comeback in state politics with a lion’s share in the Shivraj Singh Chouhan ministry for his supporters.
Mr Singh recounted that his favourite sport was hunting tigers when the Wildlife Act was not in force. “Late Madhavrao Scindia and I hunted tigers when there was no ban. After Indira Gandhi brought in the Wildlife Protection Act 1972, I started capturing tigers in my camera”, Mr Singh tweeted.
Former CM Kamal Nath took a potshot at Mr Scindia, saying “circus tigers” like him “lack the basic instinct of aggression”.
