Sushant’s teary swansong

Sushant Singh Rajput’s swansong Dil Bechara premiered on Friday night, and the late actor’s posthumous release won praises as much as hearts. For Sushant’s family, friends, and fans, watching the actor’s last screen presence was an emotional experience, and many took to their social media to pay tribute to the actor’s legacy.

Bhumi Pednekar, who costarred with Sushant in Sonchiriya, was particular­ly moved, as she shared a picture of the film’s end credits with Sushant’s name in it. “Full of emotions, overwhelme­d and can’t stop tearing up. What a class act. So endearing and seemlessly done Sushant. Never experience­d something so weirdly painful and beautiful. What a last dance .What a treat for all your fans and loved ones A Forever @sushantsin­ghraiput (sic),” wrote the Dum Laga Ke Haisha actress. Meanwhile, Genelia D’Souza took to Twitter to express her elation on seeing the actor on the screen. “#SushanthSi­nghRajput on screen and I can’t help but whistle… #DilBechara (sic),” wrote the bubbly actress. Others such as Taapsee Pannu, Swara Bhaskar, Ali Fazal, Vicky Kaushal, and Hansal Mehta also watched the movie on Friday night. Ahead of the film’s premiere, Sara Ali Khan, Sushant’s co-star from Kedarnath, had revealed that the late actor

shared a lot of similariti­es with her father Saif Ali Khan, who also cameos in Dil Bechara. Alongside a photo of the cast, the starlet penned an emotional note, saying, “The only two gentlemen that have spoken to me about Sartre, Van Gogh, telescopes and constellat­ions, guitars, The Northern Lights, cricket, Pink Floyd, Nusrat Saab and acting techniques. This is to the last thing you two have in common#DilBechara
