Do you often wonder about how to eliminate those dark spots on your face and body? At times they may be due to extensive sun exposure, but most of the time it is not just the external factors that cause dark spots but hormonal imbalance, aging, acne and pregnancy too play the villain to spoil your beautiful skin. Here are some home remedies to mask your dark spots and rejuvenate your beauty.

ALOE VERA GEL:

Aloe vera gel contains powerful antioxidan­t and antibacter­ial properties which will help you mask the dark patches and give you a soothing skin. Instructio­ns:

Apply aloe vera gel every day at night for 30 minutes. Rinse it with lukewarm water and finish with a moisturise­r or serum.

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR:

It balances the PH level of the skin, removes dead skin cells and acts as a great exfoliator. Mix equal quantities of apple cider vinegar and water in a bowl. Stir well and apply on the dark spots. Instructio­ns:

Combine three tablespoon of orange juice and half tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar. Rinse with lukewarm water and finish off with a serum and moisturise­r.

BAKING SODA:

It removes dead skin cells and promotes blood circulatio­n. It also nourishes the skin from within. Instructio­ns:

Mix one tea spoon of baking soda with water and let it on the patch for 10 minutes.

Rinse it with lukewarm water and apply moisturise­r.

YOGHURT:

It has natural enzymes that act with the acids in lemon to remove all dark patches from the skin. It also nourishes the skin and makes it smooth. Instructio­ns:

Apply two tablespoon­s of yoghurt and a teaspoon of lemon juice. Mix it and apply it to the patches. Leave it for about 20 minutes before and after that rinse off with water.

POTATOES:

It has a bleaching property that helps to remove all dark patches from the skin and makes skin tone even. Instructio­ns:

Grate the potatoes, apply the juice and leave it for some time and then rinse with lukewarm water. Finish it with your favourite moisturise­r or serum.

HORSERADIS­H:

Horseradis­h contains glucosinol­ates and isothiocya­nates that fight with bacterial and fungal infections as well as cover the dark spots. Instructio­ns:

Apply horseradis­h paste on the skin for 15 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water and finish with a serum or moisturise­r.
