Pandemic, the great equaliser
Actress Adah Sharma shares her experience of shooting in Nilgiri forests for her upcoming Telugu film
After having shot for the first schedule of her upcoming Telugu film in Hyderabad, Adah Sharma has resumed her second schedule in the picturesque locales of Nilgiri forest. Especially post the lockdown, shooting in nature’s lap for the Vipradirectorial has been a refreshing experience for her, says the actress.
“The pandemic is a great equaliser; from being confined at home for almost five months to now shooting in Nilgiri forest feels absolutely great,” explains Adah, who has been shooting for over two weeks.
“The entire unit of forty members has been quarantined and in shooting. Moreover, since we are living in a forest, there’s nothing much to do or anywhere
to move around to.”
While claiming that shooting during a pandemic is something she had never ever expected to experience, the Kshanam actress, who plays a college-goer in the film, adds that she’s enjoying wildlife. “Every morning, I wake up to complete greenery. It’s a great detox from the usual hustle and bustle of traffic. I hope to make this trip a memorable one before I wrap up the rest of the schedule; I’d like to shoot a short film on wild animals while I am here,” says Adah who further reveals that she is shooting in a haunted house.
LIFE UNUSUAL
The film’s producer Gouri Krishna has ensured that all the safety precautions are followed during the shoot. However, Adah, who also starred in Commando
3 and Heart Attack, states that she’s constantly building her immunity. “That’s something in our hands. Although the entire crew is wearing a mask, I can’t wear it while shooting, as I have a lot of makeup on my face,” she explains.
All said and done, though, Adah seems to also be missing her usual life because when we ask her if her friends have been asking her why she chose to risk shooting in these times, she just sighs and says, “Where’s the network,
yaar? We are in a forest area.”
