Akshay Kumar’s tryst with Bear Grylls promises lots of action
‘ Elephant poop tea’ is apparently the beverage of choice ( or no choice) in the jungle, at least if you’re with Akshay Kumar and Bear Grylls!
The new teaser of the Bear Grylls’ Into the Wild episode featuring Akshay Kumar shows the actor sipping on this ‘ brew’.
“I knew there would be stiff challenges prior to # IntoTheWildWithBearGrylls but @ beargrylls completely surprised me with the elephant poop tea. What a day! @ discoverychannelin @ discoveryplusindia ( sic),” wrote Akshay, who shared the teaser on Instagram.
In the teaser, Bear Grylls introduces Akshay as a ‘ legend’ known for his action films, to which the actor replies, “I am a reel hero, he is a real hero.” The trailer features some intrepid exploits of the two, including an encounter with a crocodileinfested river in Mysuru’s
Bandipur Tiger Reserve.
The episode will premiere on Discovery+ on September 11 and air on Discovery Channel on September 14.
Akshay is shooting for his upcoming spy thriller Bell Bottom in UK now. Dismissing rumours that the film is a remake of a Kannada movie, the actor asserted that it has “an original screenplay inspired by true events.”
Directed by Ranjit M Tewari and written by Aseem Arrora and Parveez Shaikh, the film also features Vaani Kapoor, Huma Qureshi and Lara Dutta. It is scheduled to be released on April 2, 2021.
