Odisha CM grows richer by `71L in FY 2019-2020

Patnaik owns assets worth `64.98cr, has `1.25cr liability

Odisha chief minister Naveen Patnaik has been richer approximat­ely by `71 lakh in financial year 2019-20, in comparison to the previous fiscal.

By March 31, Mr Patnaik owned assets worth around `64.98 crore.

As per the declaratio­n made by the chief minister, his total assets stood at `64,98,197.63 which included movable property worth `13,404,503.1 and immovable inherited properties valued at `63,64,07,261.

In 2020, Naveen’s assets was estimated over `64.26 crore which included movable property of `23,26,554.52 and immovable inherited property was valued at over `63,64,15,261.

The cash deposits at Naveen’s several bank accounts increased from `60.45 lakh in 2019 to `1.31 crore in 2020. The CM has an Ambassador car of 1980 model which is valued at around `8,905 and he possesses jewellery worth around `2,89,587, revealed the CM in his declaratio­n made on Sunday.

The CM has a farm land and building in an area of 22.7 acre at Tikri Khera village of Faridabad valued at `10,75,51,071, as per the valuation done in March, 2017.

Similarly, Naveen owns 50 per cent share of his ancestral property situated at APJ Abdul Kalam Road in New Delhi valued at `43,36,18,000. Besides, the BJD president owns two-third share of Naveen Niwas worth over `9,52,46,190.

The five-time CM also has a financial liability of `1.25 crore which he had taken as an advance against the sale of farmland at Faridabad vide an agreement dated September 18, 2019.
