‘REPUBLIC OF ARNAB’

THE LEAKED WHATSAPP chats between former BARC CEO Partha Dasgupta and Republic TV editor Arnab Goswami are clear evidence of foul play. As the Maharashtra Congress has alleged, it doubtlessly amounts to a violation of the Official Secrets Act, 1923, which the Mumbai police are probing. The conversations show that the two lobbied with those in power for good ratings and colluded to give Goswami’s channel an advantage. This is serious breach of national security, media ethics, rule of law and governance.
