The sweet scent of wellbeing

A“It doesn’t get much greener than essential oils. When used correctly, they are among Mother Nature’s most potent remedies.”

— Amy Leigh Mercree, Essential Oils Handbook: Recipes for Natural Living romatic herbs, incense, and essential oils have been an integral part of spiritual practices of numerous religions and cultures throughout history. Scientific research has revealed that essential oils possess myriad beneficial properties, including anti-stress, antidepressant, antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, and analgesic effects. Their ability to influence human potential isn’t limited to psychophysiological effects. Aromatic essences have been used in spiritual pursuits for as long as they have been recorded. In ancient Egypt, incense was burned at the altar as an offering to the gods. In Christianity the burning of incense is an integral part of sacred ceremonies. The aromatic botanicals frankincense and myrrh were offered to the Christ Child by Wise Men. Similarly, Romans, Greeks, Persians, Indians, and Chinese all used aromatic essences for a variety of purposes, including religious rituals. In India, Hindus continue the practice of using aromatic herbs during religious services at temples, before household altars, and to purify and protect.

Consider incorporating essential oils in your spiritual practices. Spirituality is an essential aspect of overall well-being. So using these essential oils may be what you need to take your holistic wellbeing to the next level.

Let’s discuss how we can use essential oils, aromatic herbs, or incense to improve spiritual practices by removing obstructions to their full potential and help attract prosperity, abundance, good health, love and psychic protection.

Anise (Pimpinella anisum): Anise Essential Oil encourages and stimulates the conscious mind. It increases psychic ability and stimulates vision, while also warding off the evil eye. For protection or purification, place ten drops in your bath water. To ward off nightmares, sprinkle a few drops on your pillow. Or simply place a few drops in aroma lamps around the house to purify your home.

Basil (Ocimum basilicum): Basil Essential Oil balances and harmonises a person. It stirs, enlivens, and uplifts the spirit. It is used in love potions to draw love to oneself. Wearing basil as a perfume can increase the harmony and intimacy between lovers. For protection, use a few drops Basil Essential Oil in an aroma lamp placed in your home. Add a few drops to your wallet or purse to attract wealth, good luck, and prosperity.
