Actor, producer and entrepreneur Juhi Chawla, who was the winner of the 1984 Miss India Beauty Pageant, admits that there’s a reason for the glow and the refreshing beauty she radiates even at her age. Especially of late, she tells us, she’s been paying much attention to staying naturally groomed.

Here are her health and beauty tips.

RED AND GREEN JUICES FOR HEALTH

A few months ago, around the time the Coronavirus was still at its peak, Juhi began suffering from hair fall problems. “I was losing hair at an alarming rate and while I tried everything including oiling, I couldn’t reduce it. One day, I had a therapist come home for my massage, and I noticed she had very thick hair. I asked her what she did to maintain it,” recollects Juhi. “She told me she had a green juice every day, which includes Indian gooseberry (amla), bitter gourd, coriander, fenugreek leaves and three to four green vegetables such as spinach, broccoli and cucumber.” Drinking this juice regularly helped Juhi not only in growing thick hair but also in preventing hair fall. However, in between, Juhi stopped drinking the green juice and began drinking a red juice instead, which is made out of pomegranate, beetroot and carrot and can also have in it amla and aloevera. Juhi admits that these juices don’t taste good but she’s a staunch fan. “I’ve promised myself to drink both the green and red juices every alternate day. And I have been noticing that my skin has started glowing with this juice,” she says in conclusion.
