“RRR will have five versions — Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam a n d Kannada — but only the Hindi version is expected to have h e r voice,” according to the source.

“One of them is a dance number and the other is a regular song. The music is by Keravani, who has composed songs for many films of Alia’s father Mahesh Bhatt and sister Pooja Bhatt.”

Parineeti Chopra too recently crooned an unplugged song for her film The

Girl On The Train. Shraddha Kapoor has sung for her film Ek Villain and Tara Sutaria recently sang a number for her film Ek Villain Returns.

After Gauri Shinde’s Dear Zindagi, which was successful from both the critical and commercial angles, Shah Rukh Khan is reuniting with Alia Bhatt on a quirky mother-daughter story, Darlings, this time, as a producer.

According to a source, the film developed by Red Chillies was narrated to Alia sometime back. “She loved it and instantly came on board,” the source shared.

Darlings marks the directorial debut of Jasmeet K. Reen, who has worked as an Associate Director and Chief Assistant Director on multiple films and has also written films like Force 2, Fanney Khan and Pati Patni Aur Woh. The film rides on a formidable ensemble fronted by Alia, with actors like Shefali Shah, Vijay Varma and Roshan Mathew on board.

It is said to be a story about an endearing mother–daughter duo, played by Alia and Shefali, who are navigating crazy circumstances in life. “The film is set in Mumbai against the backdrop of a middle-class family and traces the lives of two women, as they find courage and love in exceptional circumstances,” says the source. An official announcement of the film is expected this week and according to the source, Darlings will go on the floors as early as the first quarter of 2021. “In-fact, the movie is gearing up for release this year itself. The pre-production work is in full swing, and the team is all ready to take it on the floors very soon in Mumbai,” the source adds.
